Labor Code Compliance

A Labor Code Compliance Program (LCP) is a system that assists employers in complying with their legal obligations to pay the prevailing wages to their employees. It is comprised of a variety of measures to ensure compliance with the law, including the review of certified payroll records and conducting investigations when violations are detected. To operate an effective LCP an organization must be approved by the Director of Industrial Relations, and meet specific standards for reporting and performance. An organization must demonstrate conformity to all applicable labor laws, federal or state-specific, as well as local, in order to be approved.
