British Virgin Islands Business Company
The British Virgin Islands has a strong offshore regulatory environment. They have a distinct combination of oversight and a laissez faire approach which makes it both easy to do business – yet reputable with banks and other jurisdictions around the world which makes it very simple and easy to bank and do business with a BVI company.
BVI BC companies are commonly used vehicles for offshore savings and investments, international corporate banking, forex and stock trading, e-commerce and internet businesses, international trade and professional services as well as a holding company, ship and aircraft registration, captive insurance and estate planning.
Most business companies in the BVI are used as asset protection vehicles, very often in combination with a Trust as a holding company. The directors of the BVI BC may protect the assets by transferring its assets to another company, Trust, Foundation, Association or Partnership. The Directors can also merge or consolidate with any other company or can re-domicile the BC to another jurisdiction entirely.
BVI Business Companies are exempt from local taxes and stamp duty, even if they are administered in the BVI.
Corporate maintenance of BVI companies is simple: no annual meeting requirements, no financial statements, annual return filing and no yearly audits.
Furthermore, only one shareholder and director is required, who can be the same person, and there is no minimum paid in capital.
Nevis LLC
The Nevis jurisdiction is a “No-Tax” offshore domicile operated by the small Caribbean island of Nevis within the country of St Kitts and Nevis.
Nevis LLCs are tax transparent entities, all profit received by the LLC is considered to be transferred to its members and taxed at the personal level.
LLCs are for the most part very flexible. You have the choice of a manager-managed LLC with multiple members or a member-managed LLC with multiple members.
A distinct advantage of a Nevis LLC is the ability to incorporate with a single-member. Although Nevis isn’t the only place this is possible, the strong asset protection laws of Nevis are favorable compared to other jurisdictions.
Nevis offshore statutes for Nevis LLCs are actually derived from jurisdictional law of the state of Wyoming. A single-member LLC in Nevis has charging order protection and other benefits of a Wyoming LLC while located in an offshore jurisdiction with Nevis courts governing. All of the benefits of the strongest LLC in the United States, located offshore.
To bring an action against a business incorporated in Nevis the creditor would need to hire a local lawyer licensed in Nevis and post a $25,000 cash bond with the court. In addition attorneys in Nevis are not allowed to work on contingency basis. The creditor must pay for all legal services up front and in full.
There are very few company records to be maintained, such as corporate minutes. Your company meeting can be held anywhere and an operating agreement can be tailored to your exact specifications.
Nevis has no public registry. Nevis does not have a database of corporate records accessible to the public.
Nevis is one strongest structure from an asset protection standpoint to hold personal assets or run a business that is fraught with liability.
Cayman Islands LLC
The Cayman Islands has an excellent legal, fiscal, financial and professional environment for the incorporation of international business companies.
The jurisdiction is a world leading offshore financial services jurisdiction due to its political and economic stability and its broad offer of banking, trust, hedge fund formation and investment, structured finance and securitization, captive insurance and international business services.
A Cayman LLC has no company structure requirements for its management, nor are there provisions for company meetings, directors, secretary, or capital. Its operating agreement may be arranged by its members according to their needs.
In Cayman Islands, there are no direct taxes. No corporation tax, income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, gift tax or wealth tax. Certain documents may be subject to a nominal stamp duty.
There is no exchange control and no restrictions on the movement of funds to or from the Islands.
Reporting requirements are limited to an annual return confirming that no business has been conducted within the jurisdiction. There is no need to file financial statements and audits are not required, unless the company is an investment fund regulated by the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority.
LLCs also benefit from confidentiality. Details of company members are not required to be filed with the Registrar of Companies.
Companies incorporated in the Caymans also benefit from a wide range of financial and professional services. There are about 324 banks and trust companies licensed in Islands, including 47 of the 50 largest banks in the world and high-end professional services, including lawyers, accountants, insurance managers, mutual fund managers and administrators, among others.
The Cayman Islands LLC is an excellent entity for movable and immovable assets holding, asset protection, investment funds, joint venture companies, private equity transactions, securitizations and other corporate transactions and international structures. In combination with a trust, Cayman LLCs are also powerful vehicles to carry out Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs).
Labuan Ltd.
Labuan International Business and Financial Centre is a reputable free trade area located in the Federal Territory of Labuan, an island off the coast of the state of Sabah in East Malaysia.
Labuan is becoming a one of the major financial hubs of Asia due to its pro-business regulation, low taxes and compliance with international standards on due diligence and transparency.
Companies incorporated in Labuan benefit from an attractive tax regime. Trading profits arising outside of Malaysia are taxed at 3% or at a flat tax of Rm 20, 000.
Non-trading profits such as those arising from the holding of investments in securities, stocks, shares, loans, deposits or other properties are not subject to taxation.
Furthermore, payments on dividends, royalties, interests, and technical and management fees are exempt from withholding taxes.
A Labuan company may trade with Malaysian residents but transactions must be reported to the Labuan authorities and profits arising from those transactions may be subject to the Malaysian corporate income tax standard rate which is 24%.
Labuan is ideal for import-export businesses. As it has a free-port status, indirect taxes do not apply. Stamp duty is also exempted on all instruments executed by a Labuan entity in connection with its Labuan business activity.
In addition, Labuan incorporated entities may benefit from some of the tax treaties that Malaysia has concluded.
Expatriate directors and employees of a Labuan company can secure a 2-year multi-entry business visa, together with their dependents and directors might enjoy a 100% tax exemption on their salary income.
In summary, the Labuan private limited company is an excellent vehicle for ASEAN market entry, fund management, group holding company, IP holding, tax structuring, international trade and professional services, among others.
Hong Kong Co., Ltd
Hong Kong is a vibrant, densely populated urban center with a skyscraper-studded skyline and is a major regional free trade port and a global financial hub.
This jurisdiction has one of the most liberal, competitive and laissez-faire economies worldwide. Characterized by simple taxation with a competitive level corporate tax rate of 16.5%, capital gains and dividends free from taxes, no sales tax and no customs duties.
Although there is no specific legislation for international companies due to its territorial tax system, a correctly structured and managed company may qualify for a 0% tax for its business carried out outside the jurisdiction.
HK is supported by a legal system derived from Common Law, which is very scrupulous in respect of private property and an independent judicial system in which the rule of law applies to legal and contractual procedures.
A high international reputation and business-friendly jurisdiction provides a great atmosphere to establish companies and it can be done in one week from the comfort of your couch.
You will be required to hire a Hong Kong certified public accountant to submit yearly audited financial statements to the IRB, but prices are competitive. However, it might be useful to have your accounts pristine and properly audited if, for instance, you are looking for funding.

Malta is a full member of the EU and since 2008 has adopted the Euro as its official currency, with the benefits that it entails such as the availability of funding opportunities or the European tax directives including the Parent-Subsidiary Directive, the EU Mergers Directive and the EU Interest & Royalties Directive.
Malta has also signed a large number of Double Taxation Agreements. Companies doing business in Malta have access to an English-speaking, highly-skilled workforce making it even more attractive to incorporate there.

As high-performance materials follow the path taken by some commodity resins, farming could replace drilling as suppliers rely more on plants than oil or gas for feedstocks.
Commodity resins like polyolefins and PET have been in the forefront of biobased and recycled-content news over the last five to 10 years, but some engineering thermoplastics have been catching up. To ensure that such sustainable plastics are widely adopted, suppliers have been aiming to make them comparable to conventional resins in performance and cost-effectiveness.
Driven by markets such as packaging, automotive, electronics, consumer goods, and medical devices, there has been increasing activity among suppliers of engineering resins to develop biosourced feedstocks from plant oils, sugars, or starches to synthesize new monomers for some of their key materials. The emphasis by several companies has been on developing sugar sources from crop waste or other renewable chemicals from non-food biomass. Most of the commercial activity has been focused on nylons and polyesters, though some has been directed toward higher-end TPEs and TPUs.
Attesting to these trends were presentations at the “Re-Invention of Plastics via renewable Chemicals” conference by Innoplast Solutions, Inc., held in Miami this past January. Presenters included such leaders in this arena as DuPont, Wilmington, Del., Arkema, King of Prussia, Pa., DSM Engineering Plastics, Birmingham, Mich., and China’s Cathay Industrial Biotech (U.S. office in Powell, Ohio), each of which addressed its newest activities and future aims.
Other companies active in biobased engineering-resin development include BASF, Florham Park, N.J., Evonik, Parsippany, N.J., Solvay Specialty Polymers, Alpharetta, Ga., Invista, Wichita, Kan., and Lanxess, Pittsburgh. Still others are Lubrizol Engineered Polymers, Cleveland, Elevance Renewable Sciences, Woodbridge, Ill., and Rennovia, Santa Clara, Calif.
Most of these developments entail partnerships with, or acquisitions of, agricultural business concerns. An early example is Cathay Dupont Award, which divested Conoco in 1999 and purchased Pioneer Seed, becoming a world leader in agri-business. The company reported that this sector accounted for 32% of sales in 2013, with performance chemicals representing 19%. (The latter is being spun off this year.) |

The inspiration for this margarita story was Robert Stanton's, Galveston: An Island of Firsts. Robert referenced Bob’s Galveston Island Reader, which was originally published in 1983. In Texas, Galveston had the first custom house, post office, opera house, and the list goes on and on.
But, what about the Margarita?
I’ve always heard that the Margarita was invented at The Balinese Room by Santos Cruz for singer Peggy Lee.
Today, I noticed this Facebook post that my friend Jack Morris, owner of Third Coast Gallery, shared that stirred up the debate. What’s this about Paco’s in Taxco, Mexico?
Blasphemy!
So, I did some Googling. We have lots of competition for that title!
Smithsonian Magazine ran an article that discusses Carlos "Danny" Herrera, who claimed to have created the drink in a Tijuana restaurant. They then referenced another source that claims Dia Blue of Jose Cuervo Tequila fame invented it. Even a Texan was mentioned: Margarita Sames, a Dallas socialite. But, what about our Santos Cruz?
Feeling hopeful, I found a story by Texas Monthly. Surely, they would get it right! Right?
Nope. They go on and on about some guy, Pancho Morales, who drives a milk truck in El Paso. He claims to have invented it in 1942.
And, then I stumpled upon Wikipedia. Woohoo! At least Santos Cruz from Galveston got a mention.
I don't know who this merry band of narcissists are, and why the tequila and lime laced spotlight is on them. For me, the proof is clear. 110 proof like a good bottle of tequila.
As an Islander, I will proudly boast that Santos Cruz of Galveston Island, Texas invented the Margarita.

online security, online fraud detection, security and risk complaints online, cyber security PayPal is one of the most used platforms for sending and receiving payments by small medium and large enterprises. This makes it the most lucrative target for cyber criminals which is why PayPal phishing scams are so common these days. However, with every new day, these cyber criminals are coming up with new tactics to trick unsuspicious users and steal their personal and financial information.
Recently, some PayPal users (including myself) have received an email claiming that a payment of $450.0 USD has been made to lie.xyy (taobaokill@gmail.com) from their PayPal account through AliExpress for iPhone 6S Black 32GB but in case the user did not make this payment and looking to resolve the issue they should click the link.
Now, if you are someone who keeps an eye on online scams, you may suspect something is wrong and login to your PayPal account to check what is going on while unsuspecting users may simply click on the link in the email body and fall for the scam. I personally, was in shock since I never made any payment for an iPhone 6s through AliExpress or Alibaba however upon going through the email content it was certain that this was nothing but a Phishing scam. |

Cyber Monday shopping? How to spot SCAM websites and avoid being ripped off
But online shopping comes with risks, and recent research from comparethemarket.com has found cyber criminals are expected to pocked £8.6million from tomorrow’s spending bonanza alone.
The website’s spokesman Simon McCulloch said: “Cyber Monday is a major retail event and a salmon run for criminals who will try to seize money from unsuspecting shoppers and retail outlets.”
Action Fraud, the UK’s national reporting centre for fraud and cyber-crime, released figures showing Christmas shoppers were fleeced out of more than £10million in online scams last year.
Alex Neill from consumer body which? added: “If you see any deals advertised on Cyber Monday that look too good to be true, be careful. Fraudsters will do all they can to try and catch you out.”
But there are ways to protect yourself.
Firstly, double-check the domain name. Which? said: “A lot of fraudulent websites will use a domain name similar to a brand or product name. For example, website domains such as ipadoffers.net or discountnikeclothes.com should set alarm bells ringing.”
Be wary of domains which end in .net or .org, as they are rarely used for online shopping and may be misused by dodgy organisations.
Keep an eye out for poor spelling, grammar and English. Which? said: “This could mean the site isn’t genuine and has been put together by someone abroad looking to make a quick profit.”
Check what the shipping and returns policy is - if there isn’t one, proceed with caution.
When using a website, ensure the address beings “https”, and if you are unsure, check forums where other consumers alert people to scam pages.
Before purchasing, check the company’s social media feeds for recent activity and to see what other consumers have said about them.
Keep a close eye on your bank statement for unusual activity, as cyber criminals often make small but regular thefts which are harder to spot than large one-off amounts. |

PROJECT EXECUTIVE FOR WORLD HEADQUARTERS
In 1989, Campus Crusade for Christ, (CRU) an interdenominational ministry then located in San Bernardino, California, received an offer of 275 acres in Southeast Orange County from local landowner Charles Bradshaw who hoped the gift would draw the ministry to Central Florida. CRU accepted the gift and in 1991 moved its world headquarters to temporary space in Orlando, hoping to build approximately 250,000 sf of office and training space and a visitor’s center in a campus like setting.
Initial efforts to develop plans, secure entitlements and zoning, and raise the funds necessary to construct the new headquarters stalled. In 1994, CRU Founder and President Dr. Bill Bright turned to Jay Berlinsky to jump start the headquarters project and lead it to completion. Jay accepted the challenge.
He and his development team quickly engaged architects and engineers to create a site plan and building designs while developing a plan to obtain the necessary zoning and entitlements. In addition to preparing the large number of complex applications required by municipal agencies, team members met individually with agency staff and elected officials to clarify their plans and respond to questions. They held multiple meetings with residents and other landowners in the area. The development team was also actively engaged in the fundraising effort, offering assurances to potential donors that the project was feasible and that every contributed dollar would be spent wisely.
Ground was finally broken in 1996 and in October of 1998, CRU’s world headquarters on the shores of Lake Hart was dedicated. Almost twenty years later, as the landscape has matured and the buildings have aged, the campus is home to more than 1,000 staff and volunteers. |

Historic Christchurch nestles between the River Avon and Stour at their confluence and enjoys unparalleled harbour views, walks and wildlife.

Christchurch dates from Saxon times, and lies in the shadow of the magnificent 11th century Priory Church and still retains its Saxon street layout.

The town centre dates from Saxon times and lies adjacent to the majestic 11th century Priory church.
The beautiful historic Priory has a wealth of medieval carving and is reputedly one of the longest parish churches in England.

We know that installing or reinstalling your Windows operating system takes time and proves to be a laborious job, which none of us likes to follow. But, as we all know, once in a while we have to find the old Windows installation CD/DVD and reinstall the entire operating system.
Since it is a job we don’t do every day, we have to make sure that when we install/reinstall the Windows operating system, we also take additional measures to improve our online security.
We may choose to install Windows on a new machine or we may have to reinstall our operating system due to technical issues or security reasons caused by malware. Whatever the case may be, we always have to ensure that we follow additional steps in order to increase our online security.
Recommendation:
First of all, we hope you didn’t install/reinstall Windows XP. As you may know, Windows XP operating system is no longer supported by Microsoft. Therefore, make sure you have installed on your system Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8, 8.1 or Windows 10.
As soon as you finish the Windows installation, we encourage you to follow the security measures below to increase your security:
1. Keep your Windows operating system up to date
The first important step is to check if you have the latest security updates and patches available for your Windows operating system.
2. Keep your software up to date
It is important to have not only your Windows operating system up to date, but the software you are using, therefore make sure you have the latest updates and security patches for your main programs and applications.
3. Create a Clean Installation restore point
After you have installed your security updates for your Windows operating system, make sure you have created a Restore Point for your installation.
4. Install a traditional antivirus for reactive protection
Use a known antivirus product from a big security company. It is important to have a reliable security solution on your system, which should include real-time scanning, automatic update and a firewall.
5. Install a security solution against spyware
First of all, what exactly is spyware?
Spyware refers to that category of software which installs on your computer sending pop-ups, redirecting your browser to malicious websites or in some cases, it may even monitor your browsing history.
6. Install a proactive security solution for multiple defense layers
We need to say that a traditional antivirus solution cannot fully protect you against the latest malware out there. Financial malware epecially is created to steal private data and confidential information and it uses sophisticated methods to do so.
7. Back up your system
You updated the operating system and your system applications, you have installed additional security products for your system safety and even created a Clean installation restore point for your Windows.
8. Use a standard user account to access your Windows operating system
Windows grants a certain level of rights and privileges depending on what kind of user account you have. You may have a standard user account or an administrator user account.
9. Keep your User Account Control turned ON
Many users have the tendency to turn off User Account Control after installing/reinstalling the Windows operating system.
We don’t recommend this. Instead of disabling the UAC, you can decrease the intensity level using a slider in the Control Panel.
10. Secure your web browser before going online
Since our web browser is the main tool used to access the Internet, it is important to secure it before going online.
The vulnerabilities in your web browser are like open door invitations to attackers. Using these vulnerabilities, the attackers will try to remove private information or destroy important data.
11. Use BitLocker to encrypt your hard drive
Even if you set a password to your Windows account, intruders can still get access to your private files and documents. They can simply do this by booting into their own operating system – Linux, for example – from a special disc or USB flash drive.
12. Lock it up!
A final touch for the security of your system is to add a Kensington lock.
And why wouldn’t you? It’s so easy these days to have your mobile devices stolen, especially a laptop or a notebook, that adding a physical security measure doesn’t seem to be a bad idea.
13. Be careful online and don’t click suspicious links
To make sure you won’t be infected by clicking on dangerous links, hover the mouse over the link to see if you are directed to a legitimate location. If you were supposed to reach your favorite news website, such as “www.cnn.com”, but the link indicates “hfieo88.net“, then you should resist the urge of clicking the link.

Carman stopped exercising after leaving the military in 1991, and the pounds began piling on. But after his father died at age 54, and at the urging of his daughter, a nursing student, Carman decided in 2012 to start making a change.
He credits Kaiser’s Live Well, Be Well program for his improved fitness. Carman dropped 40 pounds since starting the program and trimmed 6 inches from his waist. And in September, he was able to stop taking the blood pressure medication he’d been on for 10 years.
Carman ran in the December marathon as part of a four-member relay team with his daughter and friends. His goal is to run half the marathon this year, and the entire course in 2015. He’s also working on losing another 20 pounds.
The constant encouragement Carman receives through Kaiser has helped him overcome his biggest obstacle: sticking with his exercise program consistently. “I’m just very grateful for everything my employer does,” Carman said.
While many employers encourage a healthy workforce, Kaiser, which employs 66,000 in its Northern California region, including 12,000 in the Sacramento area, has an additional motivation as a health-care provider.
“We want all of our staff and physicians to be role models for our community,” said Dr. Richard Isaacs, physician-in-chief of Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center.
Kaiser’s program offers more than 250 wellness options that focus on six categories: physical activity, healthy eating, emotional health, prevention, healthy workplace and healthy community.
Issacs, a head and neck surgeon, said the program has caused a cultural transformation at the company, reducing absenteeism and making employees happier and more engaged.
“I’m watching our employees actually transform their lives,” Isaacs said. “They look different. They just exude health.”
Employees encourage colleagues to get involved, take lunch-time walks or train for competitions. There are free exercise classes, with yoga, Zumba and boot camp among the popular options.
Employees can track their health improvements online and enroll in a wellness university, where they earn credits and even graduate.
To encourage healthy eating, there are on-site farmers markets and employee gardens at Kaiser’s South Sacramento Medical Center, as well as at offices in Davis and Rancho Cordova. There, workers grow vegetables and chefs demonstrate healthy cooking techniques.
The program’s emotional health component encourages employees to pursue creative outlets. Toward that end, the South Sacramento Medical Center held its third annual art show March 28, where physicians and employees displayed paintings, photographs, sculptures, quilts, beadwork and floral arrangements. |

Meir Ezra: What Is More Important -The Source or The Data? The Most Widely Known Teacher Whose Lessons Stand The Test of Time Was Crucified.
Some people feel threatened by successful people. I don’t know why. All people who have long term success are ethical, authentic and love teaching what they know. When I first heard Meir Ezra ask the question – What Is More Important -The Source or The Data? I had to think about that because I know I often accepted information based on who was delivering it. Meir taught me and many it is the data or the information that is what is important. Many time when we rely on the source we are misled because the data is false. A good example that many of us can relate to is the flow of slanted information from the main media channels. How many stories that are reported by mainstream media are totally refuted by the facts that you will find on niche journalist and social media sites.
What Does Meir Teach That Is So Valuable?
I have been at all of his seminars, most of his two day events plus I have personally studied a number of supporting courses. Keep in mind I felt I was already quite experienced and knowledgeable in business. Take a look to the archive section of this blog and see what I have been writing and this is just one of my blogs.
I have invested close to 1000 hours of additional training since the first of this year. What are the results? Let’s looks at what others say.
